How do we become the first zero food waste generation?

Elsa Bernadotte, moderated by Caroline Henricson

The food industry takes a major toll on the environment, from the staggering amount of resources required in production and distribution, to the CO2 emissions from waste in landfills. It’s time to make a change and that’s where Karma comes in.

Karma’s ultimate mission is to ensure that great food is never wasted. They want to lead the shift towards a more sustainable society, with the belief that we’re stronger together. If everyone takes small steps in tackling this issue, we can make a meaningful difference for the future!

Karma is a Swedish startup founded in Stockholm, November 2016. The app connects surplus food from restaurants, cafes and grocery stores to consumers for a lower price. As a result, users eat great food for less and businesses receive an additional revenue stream — all while reducing food waste.

During this session we will deep-dive into how we are going to reach zero food waste. What role do we play as a society and what help can we get from new technology? Elsa Bernadotte, COO, President, and co-founder of Karma will let us know...
